The 2022 ABC Best Books for Young Readers catalog is now available for ordering. Please use this form to place an order. Copies are available in quantities of 500 per carton, and the cost per carton is $30 for ABC Group members and $40 for non-members, shipping included. If a store wishes to have their additional catalogs imprinted, the plate cost is $85 for ABC Group members and $130 for non-members. The minimum catalog order for imprinting is 1,500 copies. An imprinted catalog has a bookstore's logo on the back cover. An effective imprint includes a bookstore's name, address, and phone number.

Last chance to suggest a name for our indie bookstore cat mascot! Submit your suggestions for a gender-neutral name by Friday, September 2nd, to be used in marketing campaigns throughout the year to promote indie bookstores. A poll to vote on the final name will be in an upcoming BTW issue!

We are urging booksellers to sign – and share – ABFE's banned books petition. The petition is for independent booksellers to collectively condemn the growing partisan attacks on books and offer support to schools and libraries. We encourage you to share the petition with your bookselling colleagues to maximize its impact. We need signatures in time for banned books week so we can do a press release. We have 1,070 signatures now and would like to beat an old ABA record to reach 5,000. We need signatures in time for Banned Books Week for a press release. Our aim is a powerful national story about how indie bookstores are fighting for the right to read!

The 2022 Duende-Word BIPOC Bookseller Awards celebrate and uplift the Black and Brown independent booksellers whose dedication to indie bookstores and their communities have touched and influenced countless lives.
