Have ideas for next year’s Independent Bookstore Day? We have openings in the IBD Advisory Committee! The advisory committee provides feedback on ideas for items proposed by publishers as well as promotional aspects of IBD from now through April. It is made up of one or two booksellers from each of the regional associations. To learn more and submit your name for consideration, complete this Google Form by April 16. Our first meeting will be mid-May! You must be a member of a regional association to participate.

Sign up to join ABA's new Advocacy Task Force! The ABA Advocacy Team is putting together an Advocacy Task Force to help gain insight into the top priorities and problems facing booksellers and bookstores in order to best advocate for legislative and regulatory change at the local, state, and national level.  

We’re looking for twelve members with three years of bookselling experience and a mix of all kinds of representation including owners, managers/buyers, and booksellers. The Task Force will meet virtually once to set the agenda for our future advocacy work. The Advocacy Team may also ask for occasional input on specific bills or issues in the months after the meeting.
