What's Up with White Women?: Unpacking Sexism and White Privilege in Pursuit of Racial Justice: A Workshop is a free antiracism workshop taking place October 21. This is open to all booksellers, regardless of how they identify, but will speak specifically to white cisgender women, trans women, and non-binary individuals who have internalized feminine gender norms. 

Focusing on three patterns of behavior — control, perfectionism, and defensiveness — this workshop will assist booksellers in recognizing and replacing these harmful patterns with actions that build authentic cross-cultural relationships in the workplace and beyond. More details about the workshop can be found here.

This National Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month, Small Business Majority, Team Friday, and Support Latinx Business are launching the #SupportSmallBiz Grants honoring and celebrating diverse small businesses. Eligible small businesses may apply until October 7, 2021. Eligible businesses must have at least one Latinx founder, be a legal U.S. for-profit entity, must have been in business for at least one year, be 18 years old, and be a part of the Support Latinx Business directory.
