A Note from ABA CEO Allison Hill

We’ve loved being together this week for Children’s Institute. Thank you to everyone who’s joined us so far, and to all the bookseller volunteers, authors, publishers, and partners who made this event possible. A special thanks to our lead sponsor, Ingram. And, as always, to the ABA staff for all their hard work. 

Our thoughts are with those affected by Hurricane Ida. We hope everyone is safe and that power is regained soon. The Book Industry Charitable Foundation (Binc) is available for emergency financial assistance or for those who wish to donate to help.

View registration, refund, and COVID-19 policies for Winter Institute 2022

Save the date! ABA will host Winter Institute 2022 (Wi2022) in Cincinnati, Ohio, February 13 – 16, 2022. Registration will open on September 20. More information about the event, such as COVID-19 and refund policies, can be found on BookWeb.org.

New Event! Watch BTW for upcoming information about ABA Snow Days: A Virtual Bookselling Retreat, which will take place March 8 – 9. The event will include recorded programming from Wi2022, plus new programming and networking opportunities. Registration will open in early November.

Scholarship Opportunities: Applications open this Wednesday, September 1, for the 2022 Carla Gray Memorial Scholarship for Emerging Bookseller-Activists and the 2022 Indies with Impact Award, a Penguin Random House / Binc Foundation community engagement project.
