Dear Bookseller,
A lot has changed since we reached out on Friday and I know the start to this week was probably rough. But there are signs of support all around us. Some stores have reported significant increases in their online sales. Others have reported customers buying gift cards for the future. Our customers are rallying. And the list of support from publishers, wholesalers, and other vendors is growing each day. Check back Wednesday, when we expect to have some important updates. And that’s just the support we can publicize. We’re hearing about grace periods for bills that are coming due for March and April! Please reach out to your sales reps or credit reps for more information, or contact ABA for details that we can share verbally.
Keep checking BookWeb for other updates related to the crisis, and watch tomorrow for our alert focused on navigating government support right now, unemployment for your employees, the highlights of the federal package, local support, grants, and loans.
In the meantime, remember: ABA is here to support you. Please reach out if there is anything we can do to help. We are an incredibly creative, resilient, supportive industry. We'll get through this, together.
Best, Allison |
