Where Paper Pushes Pixels
Are your customers always asking for a piece of paper and a pencil so that they can write down titles they are interested in purchasing at some future date? Jamie Anderson, owner of Downtown Books in Mateo, N.C., worked with Allen Lehew of Duck’s Cottage, Coffee & Books to turn these requests into a marketing opportunity. Jamie produced notepads to hand to inquiring customers that reads: “Note to self: Don’t forget to order these books @duckscottage.com 99¢ shipping”.

Change to ACH Money Transfer
Beginning October 25, 2016, ACH transfers for online orders on IndieCommerce sites will take place on the 15th and the 25th of each month, unless those days fall on a weekend or holiday, in which case the transfer will occur on the next available business day.

Tip of the Week
It’s fall, and holiday shoppers are already starting to ramp up their online purchases. Build trust with first time visitors to your website by including comprehensive “Help” and “Return policy” pages that are easy to understand and full of reassuring prose. Use these pages to make your customers comfortable about buying from your website.
