The IndieBound program, launched by the American Booksellers Association in 2008, has just made its debut in the United Kingdom. As Bookselling This Week noted in an earlier article, the Booksellers Association of the United Kingdom and Ireland (BA) has licensed IndieBound marketing materials for use in the U.K., and independent booksellers began receiving those materials this month.

Redesigned Indie Next List Headed to Stores

When the Red Box lands in stores next week, booksellers will get their first look at the redesigned Indie Next List fliers.

Starting with the May edition, the Next List flier features 12 "Now in Paperback" titles with jacket images -- twice as many as in the previous design.

Booksellers have reported that many of their customers prefer paperback books, so the redesigned fliers offer stores an opportunity to remind those customers that past Indie Next List Great Reads have been released in their preferred format.
