A closed space for BIPOC booksellers, BIPOC bookstore owners, and those exploring their relationship to BIPOC identity to gather for connection, support, community, resources, and networking. Booksellers interested in attending should visit their Member Dashboard and join through Email Subscriptions. Don't have a login? Request one here.

Based on feedback from the Fall 2023 Affinity Groups survey, meetings may be attended by and facilitated by DEIA Member Relations Manager, Mariana Calderón, though facilitation by volunteer bookseller will be prioritized, pending availability of volunteers.

BIPOC allies and booksellers who do not identify as BIPOC should not plan to attend. We appreciate your help maintaining the BIPOC meet-up as a closed space for BIPOC booksellers and BIPOC bookstore owners only.

The Book Biz Book Club is designed to help booksellers elevate their business acumen and stay ahead in the dynamic world of bookselling. Join us as we read and discuss a diverse range of business books, ranging from retail strategies and customer engagement, to time management and workplace dynamics. On February 21 at 3pm ET, join us for a conversation about Unreasonable Hospitality by Will Guidara (9780593418574). The Book Biz Book Club meets on the third Wednesday of every month.

About ABA

American Booksellers Association is a national trade association that supports and advocates for the success of independent bookstores. We provide members with education, networking opportunities, advocacy, resources, and technology. In turn our members support local schools through book fairs, donations and author visits; promote literacy; provide inclusive community centers; connect readers and books; add character to neighborhoods; champion and center diverse and new voices; and contribute to the local economy. We feel honored to support them in their work.
