October 30 Deadline for Winter/Spring 2018 Indies Introduce Promotion Signup [3]
- By Sydney Jarrard [4]
American Booksellers Association member stores that are new to the Indies Introduce program must sign up by October 30 [6] to take advantage of publisher specials on 10 adult titles and 10 children’s titles chosen by panels of booksellers from across the U.S. as the top debuts of the upcoming publishing season.
The Winter/Spring 2018 Indies Introduce program [7] features titles for adults and for middle grade and young adult readers, all publishing between January and June 2018.
Stores that have taken part in past Indies Introduce promotions do not need to sign up again to take advantage of publishers’ Winter/Spring offers.
To access the list of titles with bookseller blurbs [7] and full details on publishers’ offers, booksellers will need a BookWeb.org login name and password (contact [email protected] [8] for login information). The Indies Introduce logo is available for download in BookWeb’s DIY [9] and sell sheets will be included in the October Red Box mailing.
An archive of Indies Introduce author interviews [10] is also available from Bookselling This Week to help ABA members promote current and past Indies Introduce picks. Stores are welcome to adapt these interviews or run them as is in store newsletters, on blogs, etc.; booksellers are encouraged to let ABA know if they do [11].
