Baker & Taylor, the lead sponsor of last week’s ABC Children’s Institute, is offering a 45 percent discount to American Booksellers Association member stores on all children’s and young adult trade books through Friday, April 21.

The Kids First promotion, which began on Saturday, April 8, includes savings on all hardcovers, paperbacks, board books, and titles published by university and small presses — frontlist and backlist — that are coded to juvenile and young adult BISACs. In addition, all gift items, including plush, will qualify for a 45 percent discount. The only exclusions are not-yet-published titles and short-discount titles.

Stores can place their orders as usual; no promo code is required. There is no minimum order to qualify, and no limit to the number of times a store can receive the discount during the two-week offer. ABA member booksellers with a BookWeb username and password can find full details of the offer here.

To coincide with the B&T promotion, ABA has a special offer for bookstores that have not been ABA members in the past two years: Stores that enter the promo code BTSPRING when they join the association will receive three months of their first year of ABA membership free, gaining all benefits of membership plus participation in the Kids First promotion.
