Booksellers who are attending BookExpo 2018 later this month in New York City have just hours left to get on the list for two author-packed events taking place at the Jacob Javits Convention Center.

On Wednesday, May 30, the Celebration of Bookselling and Author Awards lunch will bring authors and booksellers together under one roof to recognize the winners and honorees of the 2018 Indies Choice Book Awards and E.B. White Read-Aloud awards.

The authors dining with booksellers during the lunch, which will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., are:

Up to four booksellers per ABA member store location can reserve a seat at the Celebration Lunch, which is offered free to booksellers. Table assignments will be sent the week of May 21. The deadline to register is today, May 16.

On Friday, June 1, the ABC/CBC Speed Dating Lunch with Children’s Book Authors and Illustrators will bring booksellers together over lunch with these 19 industry favorites who will move from table to table to talk up their new books and share galleys: Sara Farizan, Tami Charles, Travis Jonker, J.C. Cervantes, Becky Albertalli, Adam Silvera, Katie Yamasaki, Bob Shea, Ngozi Ukazu, Jennifer Swanson, Lisk Feng, Fred Bowen, Katherine Arden, David Stabler, Nic Stone, Laurie Keller, Kody Keplinger, Claire Legrand, and Sean Qualls.

The lunch will be held from 12:15 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. and costs $35; however, the Children’s Book Council is generously offering a $10 discount to all attendees, bringing the final ticket price to just $25. Tickets can be purchased on BookWeb. The deadline to purchase tickets is Friday, May 18.
