American Booksellers Association logoOn Wednesday, March 28, the American Booksellers Association announced the establishment of a new code of conduct for all association meetings and events, which is available under the “Policies” heading on the Governance page on BookWeb.org.

Starting with next week’s ABC Children’s Institute, the code of conduct will be disseminated to all ABA event attendees and prominently posted onsite along with contact information. Code violations can be reported to an ABA staff member or e-mailed to [email protected].

All ABA member stores are invited to adapt the code to use for their own events. As the code is a work in progress, ABA also encourages booksellers to provide feedback about it, which may result in additions and or changes to the document. Booksellers with questions or comments about the code can contact ABA CEO Oren Teicher.

Visit the Governance page on BookWeb now to review the code of conduct.
