E-mail Marketing and E-mail Blasts

E-mail marketing is a great way to drive visitors to your website and your store. There are different ways to distribute e-mail to your subscriber list. In this MailMunch blog post, Chanelle Smith addresses “blasting” vs “segmented” e-mail campaigns. If you are active in e-mail marketing, there are some interesting points to consider.

Even More Google Analytics Tutorials

Graphic image for Google Analytics hubThe IndieCommerce team has created a few online tutorials covering Google Analytics, an amazing tool that can give booksellers some powerful insights into how the store website is working. Last week, Google shared two Google Analytics video tutorials. One for beginners...

“...shows new users how to create an account, implement tracking code, and set up data filters. You'll learn how to navigate the Google Analytics interface and reports, and set up dashboards and shortcuts. The course will also demonstrate how to analyze basic Audience, Acquisition, and Behavior reports, and set up goals and campaign tracking.”

The second tutorial covers more advanced features and shows...

“...how data gets collected and processed into readable reports. You’ll learn how to use configurations like Custom Dimensions, Custom Metrics, and Event Tracking to collect data that’s specific to your business. The course will also demonstrate more advanced analysis techniques, including using segmentation, channel reports, audience reports, and custom reports.”

As always, the IndieCommerce team encourages booksellers to e-mail their thoughts, questions, or suggestions.
