BEA Breakfast Speakers to Autograph in ABA Member Lounge

Seven of the eight featured authors at this year’s BookExpo America breakfasts on Thursday, May 12, and Friday, May 13, will be autographing exclusively for ABA member booksellers at the show. The signings will take place in the ABA Member Lounge, Meeting Room T100 on the McCormick Place show floor, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., following each day’s breakfast event.

BEA Breakfast speakers autographing in the ABA Member Lounge on Thursday, May 12, are:

  • Sebastian Junger, Tribe: On Homecoming and Belonging (Twelve)
  • Louise Penny, A Great Reckoning: A Novel (Minotaur)
  • Colson Whitehead, The Underground Railroad: A Novel (Doubleday)

BEA Children’s Breakfast speakers signing in the lounge on Friday, May 13, are:

  • Jamie Lee Curtis, This Is Me: A Story of Who We Are and Where We Came From (Workman)
  • Gene Luen Yang, Paths & Portals (First Second)
  • Dav Pilkey, Dog Man (Scholastic)
  • Sabaa Tahir, Torch Against the Night (Razorbill)

The ABA members-only lounge will also provide booksellers with the opportunity to learn about the latest ABA programs and services, see paper products from affinity partner W.G. Ellerkamp, and relax and meet with bookselling colleagues while partaking of coffee, tea, and other goodies.

The ABA Member Lounge will be open:

  • Wednesday, May 11, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, May 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (closed for the ABA Annual Membership Meeting and Town Hall)
  • Friday, May 13, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

All ABA Regular Bookstore and Provisional members in good standing are entitled to receive free admission badges to BEA when they provide their ABA Membership ID number during the registration process. Booksellers in need of their ID number should contact ABA Member Relationship Managers Nathan Halter (for the NCIBA, SCIBA, MPIBA, PNBA, SIBA regions) at (800) 637-0037, ext. 7514, or Catherine Cusick (for NAIBA, NEIBA, GLIBA, MIBA) at (800) 637-0037, ext. 7566.

Stores that have not renewed their ABA membership for 2016 can still do so and receive free badges to BEA.
