ABC Children’s Institute Scholarship Application Opens

Booksellers interested in attending the 2018 ABC Children’s Institute can now submit their names via a form on BookWeb for the chance to win a publisher-sponsored scholarship. The American Booksellers Association’s sixth Children’s Institute (Ci6) will be held in New Orleans, Louisiana, from June 19–21, 2018.

Scholarships are open to booksellers from ABA member stores that did not have a Children’s Institute scholarship winner in 2016 or 2017. The deadline to apply is March 30, 2018.

Scholarships will cover the conference fee, the cost of airfare or ground transportation up to $400, and two hotel nights plus tax.

Members are also invited to share their expertise as a panelist at Children’s Institute. Booksellers can send details about their specialties to ABC Children’s Group Manager Gen de Botton, who will be in touch if such expertise coincides with planned programming.

Children’s Institute 2018 will be held at the Sheraton New Orleans. Registration for the institute is scheduled to open in February.
