As the American Booksellers Association begins to create educational programming for the 2019 Winter Institute, booksellers are asked to share their thoughts about curating inventory and offering welcoming spaces in the #MeToo era.

Over the recent months, ABA has been contacted by a number of booksellers who have had questions and concerns about how to manage different aspects of their stores, from inventory to staffing and beyond, in light of #MeToo, the international movement that aims to draw attention to and end sexual harassment and assault.

Booksellers who have opinions or ideas on how to approach negotiating the issue in their stores, regardless of whether decisions have been made or discussions are still in progress, are asked to e-mail [email protected] to share their experiences. Input received from members will inform the creation of the program, and ABA may be in touch to discuss greater participation in the session.
