Booksellers have until Wednesday, July 31, to register at a discounted rate for one of two IndieCommerce Institutes being offered by ABA this fall.

Booksellers can easily add staff reviews to the product pages of individual titles on their IndieCommerce websites through a new feature launched today by ABA.

To receive the early bird rate for ABA’s upcoming IndieCommerce Institutes, booksellers must register before the end of this month. Two IndieCommerce Institutes are being offered: on September 19 in conjunction with the SIBA  trade show in New Orleans and on October 2 in San Francisco in conjunction with the NCIBA show.

Registration is now open for IndieCommerce Institutes to be held in San Francisco and New Orleans in conjunction with the fall regional trade shows. Each institute will feature two breakout tracks: a Main Session that will address the needs of most users and an Advanced Seminar appropriate to very experienced users.

The American Booksellers Association announced this week the opening of registration for the two upcoming IndieCommerce Institutes (ICI). Booksellers with IndieCommerce stores are urged to keep an eye on their inboxes for an e-mail notification –– including a link to the registration page –– to arrive when the ICI registration site goes live tomorrow, at 1:00 p.m. (Eastern).

ABA will be offering an IndieCommerce Institute on September 18 and 19, just prior to the Southern Independent Booksellers Alliance Fall Show in New Orleans, and on October 1 and 2, before the Northern California Independent Booksellers Association Trade Show in San Francisco.

Kobo is extending its BEA show special on eReading devices to June 30 for all ABA member stores. In addition, a special Father’s Day promotion offers a free sleepcover for the Arc, and Workman is offering an exclusive Kobo eBook edition of Jessica’s Hagy’s How to Be Interesting, with How to Be Interesting After You Graduate: A Digital Short as an extra chapter at the end.
