  • Stay informed about free expression issues in the news 
  • Demonstrate your commitment to free speech with in-store signage 
  • Begin planning for Banned Books Week
  • Local First -- Helping Build Vibrant Local Economies
  • Start an Independent Business Alliance (AMIBA has created a startup packet)
  • Join or form a Business Alliance for Local Living Economies network
  • Implement action steps to counter mega-retailers and rebuild local business

  • Ask your regional association about initiatives in your area
